Sounds like typical Trump insanity to me.
I am not saying it would work, or that it was even a plan, or that I agree with it, but it's the first time I see an actual logical thinking process from Donald Trump in person that is not totally off the wall.
But, on the subject or a dangerous person with guns, yeah, I think somehow, with some kind of due process they need to be taken away from them - and before the person know it, and don't give them months waiting for trial to pull off whatever that might have brought them to the police's attention to begin with.
The first thing we need to even begin to think about this - is data. The problem is that the government really doesn't want to collect the data, or to make it public, or to facilitate actually discussion it with the people.
It's a no-brainer to collect stuff like information on police shootings, or real crime stats. The only way problems get solved and ideas or generated is by knowing the data.
Some state already have red flag laws. If a person is recognized as a threat, the police or concerned person files a request to have the guns taken away. The request is reviewed by a judge and then granted, or not.
Trump wanted to eliminate the due process step. This "take the guns 1st, due process 2nd" is not logical and is completely off the wall. It is 100% anti-gun and 100% anti-2nd Amendment.
I'm the last one to defend Trump or anything Trump says, but I don't think he wanted to eliminate the due process, but after a suspect knows there is action against him or her they should be separated from their guns. And, even if he was talking about it that is not a sincere desire to legislate that, it was just a discussion.

just in my city there are 240 polling places. multiply that by 50 States and there are tens of thousands of possible fraud points. it would be easy to add an extra 100 ballots during the transport to the actual ballot counting facility.
so far, the number of voters and the number of ballots has never been verified.
say if you have 10,000 voters then you should have 10,000 ballots, that has never been verified.
