I think the ratings are constantly plummeting because
- so called political preaching (i havent seen evidence , but many like to bitch about it)
- minorittys gettying awards! oh no! (i agree with naysayers on that - they need to be earned whatever the color)
- this year its all remote aopparently - watching peiople have a zoom chat has much less appeal
...but most of all , i think less and less people are interested in watching a bunch of luvvies pat themselves on the back.
wether its done with the glamour and glitzy of the golden age of hollwood , or the modern incarnation.
