Trump got reelected today

Thank you Mueller

reply

Yes thank you Mueller for telling the American people yourself that you could not and did not exonerate the president of crimes irrespective of what trump and Barr might claim. Hooray. Trumptards really needed to hear this.

reply

Am I the only one who got this impression that Mueller is...worried? He was so very careful with his words and obviously wanting to avoid perjuring himself. However, the key takeaways (for me at least) in regards to Mueller's demeanor were:

-A feeling of uncertainty about how to handle charges against Trump

-A FEAR of bringing charges against Trump

-An uneasiness about being a part of this investigation any longer

-Wanting to quickly slip away from all this

What happened? That's what I want to know. That man seems frightened, if you ask me.

reply

He gave voice to the most controversial findings of the report: He could not make a decision to charge the President with obstruction because DOJ policy considers it unconstitutional to indict a sitting President.

But he also echoed the finding of the report that if they had found that the President did not commit a crime, they would have said as much.

What I find hard to square is that Mueller is kicking the obstruction of justice case to congress for consideration of impeachment but is refusing to testify to congress about it. That’s a disconnect that became even sharper during his statement.

I haven't watched the video presser yet, just read a transcript of his statement, so you could be onto something I haven't picked up on yet. But his nervousness could also just be a byproduct of the general aversion he has in front of cameras under the glare of the national press.

reply

His statement of having nothing to add

I think any personal attitude showing is just due to the long ongoing spectacle, the GOPeetapers lying about his words, and perhaps a general discontent with how this government is evolving (he doesnt see that it is inevitable because he is part of government).

reply

Mueller wussed out!

Littering maybe...he's left a trail of destroyed deep state careers all over DC - right Paul Ryan?

reply

Did I miss something here? Mueller said a lot of things and none of it amounted to a clear exoneration of Trump.

You don't say: "We didn't feel it would be constitutional to indict a sitting president of the United States" about a president who's 100% innocent.

But, who am I kidding? Of course you Trumpers were only ever going to filter Mueller's words one way.

You and I saw the same speech. Mueller was VERY careful in his choice of words concerning Trump.

reply

OP was clearly trolling. Not even Fox News was claiming Mueller said what the OP thinks was said.

reply

Yeah, I was going to say...

If anything, what Mueller said only makes Trump look MORE suspect. "We didn't feel we could indict a sitting president" is a massive statement to make. It's not the sort of thing you say about someone you feel is 100% innocent.

Are you daft? Muler's bias is 100% deep state, but he weasel-worded his way in to retirement perhaps hoping to escape a much called for prosecution for his own treason.

One question - how long into this did he know the Russia "collusion"was BS.

He won't answer, and you don't dare to try, traitor.
