Florida Spring Break Boycott

The Parkland school survivors just figured out that marches aren't enough. An economic threat to Florida's tourism should make the politicians take them seriously. Finally. I was becoming sick of their patronizing attitude toward these students.

I'm proud of them for fighting and realizing that politicians only care about money - not lives. I hope it spreads further than Spring Break to encompass Florida tourism and conferences. NRA money vs Florida tourism money.

reply

The Florida Project is not a documentary. It's a fictional story.

What about the Florida Georgia Line?

reply

Ha! Ha! Ha! As if students who go to the beach to drink and fuck themselves unconscious care about the loony left's boycotts!

Well two things you should consider before laughing this off:

1) These are college students who aren't far removed from high school themselves, many who are also liberal so they may be willing to show solidarity with the students of Parkland who are creating a real movement that's not going away easily.

2) Boycotting Florida for spring break doesn't mean they can't still go to a beach to drink and fuck themselves unconscious. They can just go to a different beach for those things...for example Cancun, Mexico is quite popular with the spring break crowd.
