Give me 20 ethics-challenged prosecutors, an army of investigators, an unlimited budget, NO oversight whatsoever, and six months and I guarantee I could get you one or more indictments against some in Obama's circle too.

What I think is interesting unless I am mistaken the indictments focus on nothing he did with Trump, just before. So for now this is largely a hallow victory for anti Trump people.

It actually concerns dealings with a group from Ukraine that actively tried to undermine elections there...which in violation of UN treaties.

I know but it really is weak connection to Trump right now. It seems more like a tactic to grab him up on unrelated charges he appears to be guilty of and hope he gives them something, since they seem to be finding nothing.

Has there been more or just Manafort and his aid? if so while the Dems will make a big deal of it, its not for Trump. He was a staffer that was let go because of suspicious dealings and the indictment focuses on stuff that came before his time with Trump campaign. If this is it, and the investigation also eyeballing Podesta. He may come out of this fine. We will have to see.

Still first charges are not based on activities with Trump, this shows a significant weakness in the case trying to be made against Trump.

On his LinkedIn he said he worked for Trump for 11 months! Why do Trump voters never do something called fact checking?

There's pictures of Papadoupoulos right there with a guy named Donald Trump. You can't mistake the face (Trump's).

I am only going based on what the investigation is putting forward. You have one person that was fired from Trump Campaign that is indicted on charges unrelated to campaign, and looks like they won't even likely get a conviction on them and an aide that had talked to a Russian who's plan went nowhere who plead guilty to lying to FBI. If this is the pinnacle of the investigation, than its done for all intents and purposes. If the investigation provides more then we can reassess. But what is out there now is not nearly enough to get Trump with, even some of the people on more liberal news site recognize this is pretty much nothing unless more comes out of it. You can use it politically, and to give Trump supporters a hard time if that is something you enjoy. However if your real goal is to get Trump out of office, no this was a dud.

That simply means they conspired to commit crimes with the United States as the victim – and the indictment specified that those crimes are the tax and lobbying disclosure violations.
