HELP US GET FIREFLY/SERENITY BACK!

Hey...if you don't like the show then simply don't read this...but if you are interested:

Me and a few other people are gathering votes to show Fox that people still want Firefly/Serenity on their televisions and on the big screen. We are hoping to gather hundreds (hopefully thousands upon thousands) of votes from around the world. Then once we feel that we have more than enough we will send ALL of them to Fox and show them that the public still wants Firefly/Serenity.

If you would like to vote simply put: Yes
then give a reason why you want Firefly/Serenity back

I have already posted this on the Firefly, Serenity and Adam Baldwin Boards.

Yes!
Where do I start? It's my first TV show obsession.I love the characters, the plot, the jokes, the adventure, and I would like to know all of the secrets hinted at in the series (Inara, Book, etc), as well as what happens to the crew after Serenity.

RIP, Hector, you will be missed!

"Me and a few other people are gathering votes to show Fox that people still want Firefly/Serenity on their televisions and on the big screen."

As if Fox cares what "me and a few other people" want? Don't waste your time.

Uh, 2 of them are dead, no? Kind of crappy to have the show without them, which is probably why they were killed off.

Your logic doesn't flow. The actors are alive, just the characters are dead. If the actors were dead, then yes they'd have to kill off the characters.

I do think a follow-up TV show or movie will not be as good without Wash and Book, but I still want to see anything about that 'verse.

Personally, I'd love to see a prequel series about Book:

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: "It's of interest to me how much you seem to know about that world."
Shepherd Book: "I wasn't born a shepherd, Mal."
Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: "You have to tell me about that sometime."
Shepherd Book: [pause] "No, I don't."

Uhm sure ... You do realize that I fully understand the actors are still alive. I agree a spin-off would be good but having the show even without 2 of the main characters would not be good. It would be like Star Trek: TNG without Data (sure, they have the mysterious similar looking android) or any other of the characters. Each character makes the show as it is.

Yes, we are in agreement there - but you had said "Kind of crappy to have the show without them, which is probably why they were killed off." What it seems like you're saying is that they were killed off so that a spin-off show wouldn't happen, which doesn't make sense.

Killed off so "Firefly" couldn't go on, yes. A spin off, possibly, I hadn't mentioned that but it wouldn't be "Firefly". To go back to Star Trek again, TNG wouldn't be the same without all the characters, but Star Trek can go on and has, not successfully, but hey, that's the production crew's fault mostly.

Anyway, if there is a spin off, it should totally be called: Galactic Journey: The Subsequent Gang

That would totally rock.

OK, I see what you're saying. I don't think Joss killed them for that reason, though - I think we all know that the series would never come back, even on Sci-Fi. Even a spin-off is unlikely, IMHO, but I'd be the first to tune in if there were, and I don't care what character(s) it was.

On that note, if they were to spin off one character, either back story or future, what are your thoughts? Personally, I don't see a series based around Jayne. "Joey", anyone? But almost any other character would be interesting to explore.
