I agree that Susannah should be played by someone younger, but Gabrielle Union is actually only 3yrs younger than Gina Torres.

JJ Abrams paid a small (symbolic) fee to Stephen King for the rights to adapt it for the screen. It's unclear as to whether it'll be a cinematic release or some kind of series. Hopefully, they shake hands with HBO and make a few seasons worth of series out of it. That'd be fantastic.

While I'd normally agree that bringing such a masterful piece of literary importance to the screen would normally be a bad idea...if anyone can do it, Mr. Abrams can. He has a good track record for story arcs and detail. And he definitely has the industry clout nowadays to pull it off.
