Guillermo del Toro Says Pacific Rim 2 Will Lead to a Third Movie

Meh, the only sequel we really need to a GDT film is Hellboy 3.

I really enjoyed Pacific Rim for what it was, but it's not the type of movie that warrants two sequels, let alone one. It was meant as a project that del Toro only intended to produce while he would have been directing The Hobbit.

The Pacific Rim sequels mark the first(and hopefully only) time I ever wish a GDT project would hit a production hiccup, and either not get made or someone else helm it.

All that being said, really looking forward to "Crimson Peak" next year.

Apparently, del Toro also has a black and white film in the works set on a much smaller scale than is usual for him these days. That sounds interesting.

yea know what you mean when PR first came out I thought it would be stand alone film, then when I heard about sequels I thought WTF. Yea I'm also looking forward to Crimson Peak as well saw some set pics few months back got excited lol
