Yes I do. I mean he is still involved in it I believe but I just wish he had stayed on as director.

I imagine it would have been more practical effects and stuff instead of cgi, also he said he wanted to make every animal speak so that smaugs speech would not seem weird.

I'm glad he didn't direct the Hobbit films, they would have been horrible under his direction and vision. The fact that he gets screenplay credit tainted the films we did get a little I feel, and are the reason they are not as loved as The Lord of the Rings films.

I think it was the fact that Peter Jackson hadn't been planning on directing The Hobbit and had to take up the reins after GDT departed was what tainted the films.

LotR was a labour of love for PJ, the Hobbit was not.
