You're basing yourself on the American stereotype of Mexicans. Also, consider that the country is mostly mestizo (European with Native); sometimes they're brown, sometimes they're white; basic biology.

Guadalajara is in Mexico Thing is, he has Caucasian features like the Spanish do. A lot of Mexicans have Mongoloid features.

Well this is a stupid comment. Mexico is a country, if you're born in said country then you're Mexican. Mexican is not a race or ethnicity, it's a nationality. Mexicans usually have European (Spanish, Italian, French, German backgrounds mainly and from all corners of the continent to lesser degrees), Turkish and Middle Eastern (Mainly Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian), Mexico's "Third Root" is that of African origin, when Mexico recieved hundreds of thousands of slaves from all corners of Africa and recent Afro-Caribean migrants as wel, then you have East Asian (Chinese and Japanese historically, and recently Korean, Filipinos and Southeast Asians as well) and you also have the Native Indigenous peoples or Pre-Colombian nations who inhabit what later became Mexico. And then you have a mix of all of these. The big two are European and Indigenous, the south is mainly indigenous (Where most migrants to the US come from but not a rule, so Hollywood portrays everyone like this and Hollywood is who teaches Americans for the most part), the North and West which is mainly European, and the central part which is a mix of all.

Guillermo del Toro's family is from Jalisco, which is the west, which has a population that is mainly of European descent. Which is why he looks the way he does because he is Caucasian like most Mexicans from that area. I hope you have learned something. Have a great day.
