I never liked this guy

I first saw him with a bunch of other women who can't hold a mans interest as long as the expiration date on a gallon of milk in Charlies Angels full throttle. His accent was truly cringe worthy. I kept wondering who he bruised his knees for to get that part.

Then suddenly this guy was going around offering opinions on other more famous actors, like he was an Oscar nominee or something.

Then he snubbed TV shows in general. Having been in Two movies based on ...TV shows! And not super classy TV shows, but cookie cutter TV shows, like the ones he'd been slamming.

That's when I was like who the F is this arrogant little prick? I found out he was born with a silver spoon up his arse. His mommy reported on his prom date, in an article.

Then I looked back at his comments about Tom Hanks and said "He feels Tom Hanks is New Money, and doesn't deserve everything he's gotten"

So now he's latched on to a girl...WHO REPRESENTS EVERYTHING HE HATES!

She is a long time TV show star. She didn't come from that side of the tracks. She's not believable in any role, she's always going to be her character in Friends.

I'm giving 10-1 this marriage, if it ever even happens, last no longer than 2 years. This is him latching onto her simply for the Fame-o-coaster.

And not only that, he's now going to star on a TV show on HBO. Hypocrite much? Unless he said that years ago and has since changed his mind. That's possible and ok.

reply

WOW!!! I'm SOOOO SURE people have NEVER changed their mind on things they said 10 years in the past. He really is an evil person for having an opinion.

reply

What does he exactly do anyway?? I mean, except showing up with Jennifer once in a while. What a loser

reply

And he says so many GOOD things about you.....

reply

Well, he didn't say "He feels Tom Hanks is New Money, and doesn't deserve everything he's gotten"

What he said was:
”It’s like, once you’ve seen Tom Hanks win the Golden Globes, the Oscars, you’ve seen his wife, what kind of car he drives, when you watch his movies, you can’t fully get really lost in them.I watched the movie “Cast Away”. It’s a perfectly fine movie. But you can never fully believe that movie. How can we believe this man is being cast away? We know it’s Tom Hanks and we know the color of his couch in his house in L.A. because we saw a picture of it in People magazine. His celebrity has corrupted his art form.”

His last sentence is indeed something of a dig, but most of what he's saying is really more about commenting how being a celebrity can distract the viewer from getting lost in a story and believe we're watching the character, not the actor.

It's a valid point, though he didn't have to single out Tom Hanks and add the more personalized last sentence. And, of course, there's the irony now that he's engaged to Jennifer Aniston that we see and know far more about him then we used to. And we know A LOT about his fiancé's personal life.

Still, I think he's a very good actor and hot as freakin' hell...I don't have to think he's a great person.

Well, for what it's worth, his performance on HBO's The Leftovers is absolutely brilliant. He -does- have serious acting chops.

I am you and what I see is me.

Bennington. Paul Theroux. Phyllis Grissim. This guy is about as connected/privileged midatlantic - northeast as it gets. I'm not surprised he comes across as a art/culture snob. I'm also not surprised he hooked up with JA who always seems like she would be pretty easy to manipulate.
