HIS QUOTES ON IMDB

Has anyone looked at this guy's quotes on imdb? What an arrogant toolbox. Talking smack about Tom Hanks, who is one of the only people left still trying to make creative choices. I love when people hate on other actors just because they are in the position THEY wish they were in.

And then he goes on to say he thinks it's great if people throw bricks through the windows of corporate places like McDonald's and Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for taking down corporations for the Mom & Pop shops of the world, but this douche-bag is trying to be all "edgy" and "Ooohh I'm SO different and a REAL artist" blah blah blah. Get over yourself dude. I hope somebody throws a brick through the "little coffee shop" window you're sipping your cliche artist latte in, and that it goes through the poster of Tom Hanks' next film before smacking some sense into your arrogant dome.

The only thing worse than an arrogant celebrity, is an arrogant D-bag who *wishes* he was a celebrity being arrogant about "mainstream" actors. I saw this quote once: "Just because no one understands you, doesn't mean you're an artist." This applies to this tool. There's a reason you're not in People magazine showing off your couches, Justin! You AINT THAT GOOD SO NOBODY GIVES A SH*T! But yeah, have fun shooting your indie horsesh*t that nobody is gonna see. I'll be at home watching a Forrest Gump on USA, commercials and all. HAHA. Ya d*ck.

Then no actor that has over 1 million dollars should keep acting, because everybody on Earth knows that they have nice stuff... he's just jealous.

I found his comments very odd indeed. His point concerning Tom Hanks was of course meant to say that nothing and nobody that well known can be pure in their creativity. That being true does not seperate him on inch from Tom Hanks simply because of the corporate machine that behind the very movies he acts in for a living. True artists don't promote themselves, no matter what form their art takes. I have a dear friend of many years who is a glass artist. Its really a hobby of sorts, but he gives his creations away as gifts. That is a true artist.

About the McDonalds, Starbucks comments, all I can say if he doesn't care for corporate coffee or hamburgers I suggest he stay out of those places. Or possibly instead of suggesting others throw a brick at a windwo maybe he should actually be the renegade he isn't. He can throw those bricks himself and gain celebrity status.

His quotes make him seem like a real downer!

I am not going to judge him, but it does seem odd that he is ostensibly critizing the commercialism of TV, but then writes a Screenplay for "Iron Man II", which will undoubtedly have MASS commercial appeal. I mean, they're already selling Iron Man II toys at stores, and all the happy-meals, and other cross-promotions are in the works. Seems a little hypocritical. Oh well.

And bagging out TV too. "I've never been shocked by anything on television, except the news". This guy is a real tool. And now he has an upcoming arc on Parks and Recreations. What a douche.

"It's a TV show - selling cars, cereal, soda pop. TV is like that. The shows are incidental to the commercials."

He is trying to make this deep comment on society, however there are countess shows that are exceptions to that rule - especially in this age. Worse, is that the dude is a television actor.

I don't think he's bashing tom hanks as much as he is bashing the behind the scenes look into an actors life. Which I agree with, this whole need people have to get into the personal life of a celebrity can inhibit the ability to lose said celebrity in a role. On the other statements of the bricks and what not, coming from the DC area like him I understand it(not to say I agree with it). We have national issues in our face more than the rest of the country, I mean I run into senators and congressmen on the metro. And because of such this area is very apathetic, so by the very idea of an ordinary citizen doing something in an act of their voice is refreshing. When everyone doesn't care it gets depressing. So on the other hand signs that people do care is a reminder that a voice(or action) can make a difference. He did after all say acts short of violence and killing other people. God living in DC is depressing though.
