I agree, he's been looking quite haggard and worn out lately. His eyes look especially tired. I think he works too hard and would probably benefit from a vacation.

I agree. A holiday and some protracted time away from the no-doubt-enjoyable grind of work. Fans will moan, but I'm a big fan and IMHO, David's continuing good health is of major concern to me. Take a break, man! You've earned it.

I honestly think that a good sized part of it is because he's been working on Broadchurch/Gracepoint for so long now. He's meant to look haggard for the Alec/Emmett role. But he has been working pretty much non stop for a long time now, so a vacation is definitely deserved and would probably do a great deal of good.

Tell that to the man who has said in the media that he can't see the point of holidays and doesn't know what you're meant to do while having one! According to Twitter [yes, that so-reliable organ of record] he and wife flew to a resort in Mauritius recently but were away for just 4 days. [Grab a google map and check out the relative locations of London and Mauritius. They'd have spent almost more time in transit between home and destination and vice versa! Ok Slight exaggeration, but you see the point.] I agree with those who think he does look a bit drained and tired. At 43, he is not the Energiser bunny, no matter what he thinks. He may not like to 'waste time' on holidays but IMHO a few months of not working in the same way and at the same pace as he's maintained for the past decade would do him good and would ensure he stays fit, well and acting into his old age.

That's true about the being in Mauritius for 4 days thing. The Broadchurch producer tweeted they wrapped at midnight Sunday night, and a photographer tweeted that he'd done a photoshoot with David and Olivia the following week, presumably on the Monday. Georgia started posting the Mauritius photos on Tuesday eve (so they must've left Monday after the photoshoot and arrived Tuesday), then he was photographed flying back to London on Saturday. He was photographed in LA a few days after that!

I don't think he needs a vacation but a good long time at home relaxing and maybe only doing little jobs like audio books.

Yeah, he needs to slow down (much as I loathe the idea of not seeing him on screen as much).
