Should of won Best Supporting actor at Oscars

For Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Why do you find it so hard to believe?

reply

Should HAVE.

Plummer secured it pretty early on... The problem was that the film was full of great supporting performances, I thought Strong, Firth, Hardy and Hurt even with their somewhat limited time on screen made amazing impressions on me. Kudos.

I think he was equally amazing in Body of Lies. I saw that movie and thought "who is this guy?" Very talented and needs more roles like that and Tinker Tailor (where he was heartbreaking).

Also to the OP, in response to your signature "Why do you find it so easy?"

"What will happen to us in time?"
"Time starts now." -Bullitt

I was disappointed that the cast wasnt even nominated for best ensemble SAG... they should have won... what is best ensemble if not this??? It was the epitome of it.

reply

God, absolutely.

Far and away the best supporting performance of the year. That he wasn't nominated is criminal. The problem is that there were plenty of other candidates from the same film.
