Best Supporting Actresses of 2011

I finally completed my own best of the year lists and put Octavia Spencer's performance in The Help at #5 of my Supporting Actress category. I dug her performance, but didn't think it was the best of the year. Do you all think it was #1? If not who was?

From what I saw (50 films), she would be 1. to me
Others that might come close: Jessica Chastain, Bryce Dallas Howard, Cicely Tyson and Sissy Spacek in The Help, Joely Richardson in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Carey Mulligan in Drive, Berenice Bejo in The Artist, Melissa McCarthy and Rose Byrne in Bridesmaids, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy in Monte Carlo.

Just caught up with the BAFTAs here in the UK and Octavia won on that as well. She looked genuinely surprised and gave an equally humble acceptance speech. Not seen The Help and not come across Octavia before but she struck me as a very genuine lady. Glad for her that she won. Oh she is another lady with a very lovely face as well.
