BEFORE IMDB SHUTS DOWN I JUST HAVE TO SAY
EVERYTHING IS CRINGE WORTHY *beep* AFTER SIGNS
shareYeah. I can't get on board with this guy. I just watched Unbreakable, supposedly his best, and even that didn't do it for me. Glad I got this out before 20/2: D-Day.
shareI don't know what IMBD is thinking. The draw has always been the movie discussions. At least for me, and I've been here since the Usenet days. Even before IMDB.uk.co days. I don't see myself coming back much as most of the time I come its to look up some tidbit in a film I've seen and wonder if I perceived this part of the film correctly.
Now that this is out of the way, I recently saw Unbreakable again. The last time I saw it was when it came out on video and thought it was lackluster then. Not much has changed my opinion. As much as I liked Sixth Sense everything since then was been a disappointment outside of Devil, which wasn't really his. Even the lower budget The Visit was only okay as a scary film and that was it. Granted nothing else is as funny bad as The Last Airbender but that's not saying much.
Until The Visit at least I would go out of my way to see his films once they came to the small screen but I'm not planning on seeing any of Night's films based on his name alone after this. I've heard Split has some good performances in it so I might catch it on bargain Tuesday but only if my friend's are already planning on it. It's a real shame to see the writer/director of The Sixth Sense hasn't been able to come out with any more gems.
