Hamlet
Anyone seen him playing Hamlet in the theatre yet? I'm seeing it soon and I'm wondering what others thought of it?
shareI saw it a few weeks ago. I thought he was amazing. I had never seen a production of Hamlet before, but I was absolutely blown away by him.
His Hamlet wasn't what I went in expecting. I was expecting a lot more brooding/angsting, because those words are practically synonymous with Hamlet in my mind. And there was brooding/angsting, and there was definite crazy, but it was a different kind of crazy than I traditionally associate with Hamlet, since this adaptation took place in a mental ward.
There were a lot of brilliant moments, and I don't want to talk about how they did more specific scenes, in case people want to see it, and don't want to know how they staged certain parts, but overall, I was very impressed.
