What was his role in Superbad and Walk Hard?

I can't tell by the names given. Does anyone else have any details that could describe these characters?

I've only seen Superbad, and he just played a guy that at a party. His character is in a room with a couple of other guys and Evan (one of the main characters).

She smiles because she knows in the end, the world gets beautiful, beautiful again...

In Walk Hard he plays as one of the music/talent finding Rabi's.

He was supposed to be Mclovin a few years ago when the first readings of the script was happening. The movie was put aside for a while and then Superbad was born again. hehe
