Brandon Routh cast as Bruce Banner in new Hulk TV series

Hi Guys, ive just heard on good authority that Brandon Routh has been cast by Marvel Studios as Bruce Banner in the new Hulk TV series. Brandon was the top choice of the shows producer Guillermo Del Toro and im told as well as playing Banner he will do all the motion capture Hulk stuff and Hulk make up with Rick Baker. Apparently Marvel were so impressed with his portrayal of Clark Kent in Superman and were keene to get him from day 1.

Have to say i never saw this one coming guys, cool news dont you think?

Gotta be fake. Of all the Marvel characters he Could play, Banner is the least likely. You don't go from smaller frame men like Bixby and Norton to a decently built giant.

Then the series has been cancelled before it even starts. Saw BR on Chuck and his acting has not improved.

Replaced by someone who doesn't look the part at all? What, are you smoking crack or something? Henry Cavill looks far more the part than Routh, though Routh did make for a good Reeve look-alike.

What?!

The new Hulk show is still in the early development stages and the pilot script has to be written. Casting the actors is usually done at a later time. As far as Routh being 'cast' as Banner, until it is officially confirmed by either ABC or Marvel, I won't believe it.

There's nothing wrong with his acting that good writing wouldn't cure. I think he was quite good on the "Chuck" series, despite being an unlikable character.
I also thought he was good in "Table for Three", a comedy. He looked great in "Dylan Dog" but again, a poor to nothing script. I could see him doing a good Bruce Banner but the wardrobe department would have to play down his magnificent physique when he's Bruce.
