Do you think he resents losing the Superman role to Henry Cavill?

Seriously, it's hard not to imagine him wondering at the back of his mind "How did this happen? I was supposed to be this generation's Superman! How could they replace me with that guy from the Tudors?!"

It's sad when you think of it.. Singer really screwed this guys career with his awful movie. I mean had the movie been a hit this guy would become a mega star for sure! Now he's just the George Lazenby of Superman!! As some payback for having us hire a brit as Superman the brits should hire Routh as 007 after Craig is done with the role. :)

I don't know about "mega star" (especially not in an era where it looks like Hollywood is moving away from 'star power' in favor of franchise power) but he probably would be getting better offers now if SR hadn't been such a turkey.

How did Singer screw up his career??? he was an unknown!! nobody knew him before superman.

It wasn't his to lose. Too much time had passed. If a sequel had been done sooner yes he should have been up for the part. Frankly 'Superman returns' was a mess of a story. Especially Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane and them having a son.

I wish I had a Kryptonite cross, because then I could keep Dracula & Superman away.

Although Brandon Routh was an unknown, he could have soared to the skies and offered the same role in the next Superman installment if Singer did well. Now that Singer had screwed up his career with poor directing of Superman Returns, Routh has not been offered any lead roles in major blockbusters but taking up lesser roles instead. A pity really.
