I love Charlie Rose!

My must see program everyday is The Charlie Rose Show. He gets the best guests and he's a great interviewer. He has an amazing grasp of a tremendous amount of different subjects. The brain series is a perfect example of a group of shows which are interesting for any type of audience. Politicians from both sides of the aisle feel comfortable being interviewed by him. He's not aggressive but he is thorough and he will ask the next hard question. I owe most of my understanding of current events to this show. Charlie recently had heart surgery and missed about a month of the show. It was still a good show with the guest hosts but I missed Charlie's voice. Thank God he's back!

Why punish old people of the past is what I am wondering. It was a different era at the time, men are horny more than women (usually), as long he stopped it as he got older then I don't know why people are punishing people of the past.

Current topics aside, I never could catch the Charlie Rose vibe. As compared to Dick Cavett or Tom Snyder and a lot of other interviewers, Rose, with those baggy eyes and slow demeanor, always seemed (to me) like he was slightly drunk. I'm sure his interviews were thoughtful and thorough, but on the rare occasion I caught his PBS show, I was more interested in his guest than Rose himself. Which is proper, but I never had any special fondness for Charlie.
