It is a short-term role, but it has tied in to celebrate his real-life dad (William Roache) 50th Anniversary of playing Peter Barlow.

Linus will be playing his father's illegitimate son from a dalliance and Will will be playing Linus' son

I figured you may not have heard or seen this but, apparently, Linus plays Ken Barlow's long lost son, Lawrence, who is a homobigot and [allegedly] Will plays Lawrence's son who is gay.
