A shame she only did one film.

She was the leading girl in Student Bodies (1981). I thought she was great, she looked beautiful near the end when she was glammed up as a disguise but also her comedic timing was very good. She was hilarious when she was talking to the principal near the end, genuinely great comedic acting.

Such a shame a beautiful woman with great comedic acting abilities didn't have more roles. She was very well suited to horror comedies and/or outright spoofs. She wouldn't have been out of place in a Mel Brooks film.

She could also play a ditsy Marilyn Monroe type character. Bubbly and naive.

As it turns out, she's hiding in plain sight—living in Northern California and teaching music at the School of Rock in San Ramon. Although previously shy about her association with Student Bodies, she now openly acknowledges it (at least, she does on her teacher bio).

OK...THAT'S REALLY COOL...I FIND THIS KIND OF THING REALLY INTERESTING...LIKE UNSOLVED MYSTERIES OR THAT KID FROM THE SANDLOT THAT GOT REALLY INTO THE 60S AND NO ONE EVER SAW HIM AGAIN.

One thing I like to do after watching a film is to go on IMDB and check out the pages of several people who worked on it, normally the director, writers, cinematographer, editor and cast. I have an interest in what else they did. I come across some surprises such as the editor also having edited several of my favorite films or an actor having a minor role in another film I saw.

If that is what Miss Riter wanted to do with her life then good for her however I do think it was a loss, she was very good in her one and only role. The fact she was the lead with no prior experience makes me think the casting directors cottoned on to her potential, she was wholly capable.

From the looks of her teacher bio it seems she may have moved to Germany and then to Spain after she made Student Bodies to pursue her interest in music. So it makes sense I guess why she didn't get any more roles in Hollywood, she left the United States.
