Rate Matt Reeve's Films (One-Sentence Reviews)

All Reeves films I've seen. Average director of Hollywood fare. Competent and talented, albeit not very strong in the narrative department.
What do you think?

List will be updated on a regular basis. NO SPOILERS!

2008: Cloverfield: 6.5 P:
Solid monster movie with an interesting premise, but banal resolution and partly annoying found footage style of filming.
2010: Let Me In: 7 P:
Subtle, touching and well-shot, albeit completely unnecessary remake, which doesn't add anything original to the original and thus seems rather obsolete.
2014: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: 7 P:
Routine, albeit exciting and entertaining sequel with a somewhat too conventional structure and flat, completely clicheed characters.

Cloverfield: 5.0
Not really the type of film I enjoy. The found-footage genre does nothing for me.
Let Me In: 10.0
One of my favorite movies ever. Reeves added complex sub-plots to the original story and wove it together with a master's touch.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: 9.5
Again shows he can add emotionally compelling details to even the most outrageous premise.
