Coming across as ungrateful to Rowling

I do not agree with J.K. Rowling on her views of transgender women. But Radcliffe is coming off as a hypocritical backstabber. He could have just publicly stated he did not agree with her views and left it at that, but now he is saying he would be willing to return to play Harry Potter as long as Rowling is has no involvement. So the woman that campaigned for the role that basically launched your career and supported you when studio head were considering replacing you when your alcoholism became a problem on set (do not think they were going to, just a threat to get him to clean up his act) and this is how you treat her. Nice to know people are still loyal.

I think it's funny that Radcliffe or any other man should be mansplaining on the legitimacy of transgender women.

Whether to accept transgender women as one of their own is strictly up to women. Men may have an opinion -- much like they have an opinion on abortion -- but it's not their place to dictate to women who they have to allow in their club.

Rowling should just tell him to f**k off.

In what way do you interpret what I said as sexist?

reply

Hollywood men dont understand it. They are so up their own entitlement and virtue signaling that they think they know better.

reply

After being spoiled by fame (as well as driven nuts by it), I'm not surprised, actually. Money and fame will do that to people. I remember talking to some people who knew him, and said he was an elitist asshole when not acting.

reply

Do you like him?

reply

I'm not a fan of him personally. In fact, while I do like Harry Potter, I'm not a huge fan of it. I'm watch the movies, read the books, take online quizzes or join Pottermore, or even go to Universal Studios and walk around in the HP section, but otherwise, I'm not super-nuts about it.

When/where did Radcliffe say he won’t return to Potter if Rowling is involved??

Rowling is right to stand up to the trans-activists (not trans people) but she deserves to be devoured by wokists because she pandered to them for so long. What was that crap about retrofitting Dumbledore as being gay? Absolute BS virtue signalling.

Watching Radcliffe, Rowling and all the other Hollyweird SJW’s eat each as they purity spiral into insanity is far more entraining than the movies and books they ever made 🤣

reply

He said it last year. Wants it written into his contract that she cannot be involved in the project.

For all intents, he's effectively saying no since she wrote the stories and retains control over it.

reply

It’s a rumour at best and vapid clickbait at worst, there’s nothing definitive in that article or its links. I call BS.

Now Radcliffe HIMSELF is getting a dose of his own medicine! Anthony Mackie is going off on Radcliffe for starring in the "racist" Harry Potter franchise when there were no major black characters at Hogwarts. Why didn't Radcliffe "fight" for more minorities and inclusion, but happily agree to scripts when Harry had "no black friends"? Karma in action! Doesn't feel too good when the shoe is on the other foot, does it, Danny boy?

Reminds me of Asia Argento championing the #metoo stuff for years, then getting cancelled BY it, after Jimmy Bennett accused HER of being a sexual predator.

What goes around, comes around!

reply

Wait, I've never had any black friends.

They tried to cancel him, are they going to cancel meeeeee???

Oh wait, I'm just an internet rando. They probably won't bother.

What are her views on the 'transgender women' that you don't agree with?

reply

Or, an equally important question, why ask the question 2 years later if not just to stir shit about a debate most of us are over? Let the celebs settle their squabbles themselves.

reply

Nothing wrong with asking question... not stirring anything?

reply

Just trying to understand... although I find it unlikely I will.
