Quite right, too! The BBC are treating him with far too much coverage over his life and death, especially at such an advanced age. There's only so much they can say about him before they repeat themselves.
I read the Yahoo! news article about this story, and they summed it up perfectly with a Masterchef quote!

I don't get BBC broadcasts, I'm on iPlayer all the time when I do look at BBC stuff. I only found out because I have a bookmark to the BBC broadcast schedules, and I was shocked at what I saw yesterday: extended news reports, one after the other.
Pissed off that nobody will give you even a minuscule fraction of that kind of "coverage" when you check out?

shareIt's an interesting example of the split in the UK. When events like this happen half the population go in to melt down - whipped on by most of the press. The other half, probably more than 50%, politely wait for them to get over it.
Please note, I have a lot of respect for Prince Philip and the work he did but this total takeover of BBC TV AND Radio is way over the top.
