Good luck, pal!
You're gonna need it, because all the anti-monarchist knives are out now.
And, uh, my condolences.

I feel a little bad since I know Charles and Camilla will face resentment. But come on, the divorce was 30 years ago, and Diana has been dead for 25. Time to move on and give him a chance. I think he will make a decent king if given the chance.
shareOh, I don't hold the divorce against either of them. In fact, I'm rather touched by two people who couldn't marry when they were young, finally making a go of it when they're older.
But Charles is going to face 70 years worth of anti-monarchy sentiment that couldn't gain much ground while Elizabeth was alive, and besides he thinks he's brighter than he really is. He's going to put his foot in his mouth more than once, and he hasn't built the same level of trust with the public that Elizabeth did. He's going to make his opinions public in a way that Elizabeth never did, and get ripped for it.
Maybe Harry is a chip off the old block. It is ironic that many of the topics he was mocked for like organic farmimg and environmental issues ages ago are valid concerns now.
shareIt's good of Charles and Harry to have a clue and to support, but it's not like Harry makes an effective spokesperson for environmental causes. I hope that Charles does better, but I don't have as much confidence in him as you do.
shareI was referring to your comment about making their opinions public.
shareI still feel bad for Di, but it's ancient history now. Their sons are pushing the big 40!
