Why would RuPaul's wins kill me? I'm not sure how he is as an actor so I can't comment. But he didn't win in an acting category anyway. It's cool that he won.
If Adam Sandler won an Emmy and then I said "Who's next? David Spade? These guys can't act", would you feel the same way?
No and if you said “These guys can’t act” about the other two it would also seem less dodgy.
So because they're gay, that makes the comment more dodgy? Talk about equality.
So if I see a picture of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and I say "I love these people", that's okay, but if I see a picture of Elton John and his husband, and I say "I love these people", that's not okay?
If your mind immediately thought that "these people" was referring to them being gay because of a comparison, that's on you. I guess if I compared Kurt Russell and Jon Voight and called them "these people", you'd think that was a knock on Republicans.
