Any news on his new movies?
Has anyone heard anything about potential release dates for his newer movies? I was hoping that "You Can't Win" would come out in 2012 o.O

shareeven though i thought his exit was rushed, there was probably already a part of him ready to move on to something else, i'll bet. he said he was the one who told terence winter that he thought his character, jimmy, was doomed.
I'm one of those people who thinks that Michael was fired from the show. The explanation that he and Terrance Winter gave for Jimmy Darmody's exit wasn't a convincing (for me) enough reason for the rushed up and incredulous finale. On top of that he was also fired from the UTA? Hmm...that doesn't seem like a coincidence to me.
i miss seeing him every sunday night. we didn't know what we had 'til he was gone!
So true. B.E. was never the same without him.
Hi not-bella-swan,
I agree with everything you wrote. It really makes me wonder how much Hollywood cares about their entertainers. With what happened to Whitney Houston, River Phoenix, Cory Monteith and host of others I would say not a whole lot. People make their own decisions; those who turn to drugs often have a heart full of pain that they don't know how to handle it. They know they need to break free (and often times want to) but they just don't know how. If someone has been struggling with addiction for years, that just says to me they may not have very many real friends.
I think that might be the case with Michael Pitt, very few around him care enough to be honest with him. I don't mean to come across as a jealous hater, it's just that I wonder what that girlfriend of his is doing to help him? If my boyfriend/husband was struggling with an addiction, I wouldn't pussyfoot around with him. I would tell him that he needs to get clean or he'll lose me for good. There is no way I would ever tolerate seeing someone I love kill themselves slowly. Then again Jamie may be struggling with an addiction herself. I've seen her and she looks deathly thin (again not trying to hate). I also heard that runway models often turn to drugs to maintain their body image. Whatever the case may be, he needs to reevaluate who he needs to be around and check himself into long term rehab. 30 days is not long enough to battle a serious drug addiction (look at what happened to Monteith).
If Michael had taken at least 2 years off from working to try to get clean, he would probably have an emmy by now. I think the main reason he was never nominated for Jimmy Darmody is because he solidified his bad reputation behind the scenes. Which is a shame, because he really deserved to win for that performance IMHO.
I really hope that all of this are just rumors and speculations, but if it's not then I hope that he'll get some help.
Hey, snowangel9, those are some pretty big claims to be making without listing any kind of source. Where exactly are you getting this information from?
Also, I did meet the dude in 2009 when I saw his old band, Pagoda, play a small show in Brooklyn. And yeah, he totally was very cool and down to Earth. Hung out with us after the show and had beers and spoke to anyone who wanted to talk. I had a few random conversations with the dude, and as a fan it was definitely very cool that he was so approachable and normal.
I've been rooting for the guy ever since I first saw his work, so I'm extremely curious, do you have anything to support your claims that the dude is an addict? Or that he was definitely fired from BE? Again, I've seen no proof of any of this anywhere.
