This guy seriously needs an Emmy nomination

I just got caught up on Season 2 Boardwalk Empire and Michael Pitt has stolen the show from Steve Buscemi. He is just incredible in scenes with veteran actors such as Buscemi, Dabney Coleman, and William Forsythe. I'm just so impressed!!

I hope he does get an Emmy nomination, he certainly deserves one. He is a fantastic actor. I'm surprised he is not a huge movie star.

^^ Me too, so am I. He is a huge talent.

I really hope to see a lot more of him, on the BIG screen.

He reminds people too much of Leo DeCaprio (Watch the Departed). You gotta be unique to skyrocket in Hollywood. I am not denying Michael's incredible acting, but that's the way of things in the entertainment industry.

I think he DID!

This past Emmy he was nominated as best supporting actor but didn't. I saw him at the Emmy's after party too! I worked there as a ticket taker for the after Emmy's ball and what do you know!? He was standing right there in my line!!

He looked just like how he looks in the show. A dark suit without a jacket, maybe a vest, hair comb back, a little of that angry, tired-of-the-world look on his face.

He didn't win apparently, at least I didn't see him holding a golden statue in his hand. But then before I tore his ticket, I look up and say "Sir, you'll always be the winner in my heart." Much to my surprised he looked touched. He broke out to a smile ans say "Aww, that is so sweet, thank you." and shoot my hand. Best moment of the whole two weeks of Emmy's experience!

Hopefully, before the show goes on without him, he will be back to the show and be nominated again. I wish next year I can see him again at the after party, and then he will be holding a golden statue. :)

I worked there as a ticket taker for the after party, and as I was just hoping to finish my job asap and look for him in the dance floor, what do you know!? He was standing right there in my line!!

He looked just like how he looks in the show, kinda dressed like Jimmy too. A dark suit without a jacket, maybe a vest, hair combed back, hands in pockets, a little of that angry, tired-of-the-world look on his face.

Much to my surprised he looked really touched, not those kind of famous Hollywood star type of touched. It was real, genuine expression. He broke out into a smile and said "Aww, that is so sweet, thank you" and shook my hand. Best moment of the whole two weeks of Emmy's experience! And I was surprised how personable he is, hopefully the fame don't eventually get to him.

Hopefully, before the show goes on without him, he will be back again with another nomination. I wish next year to see him again at the after party, and then he will be holding a golden statue. :)

He shot your hand?! Taking on too many traits of his fictional character I guess :-). Seriously though, I think he's going to be one of the next great actors of our time. That scene he did with Gretchen Mol (his mother), after his wife was murdered, was incredible. The look in his eyes - the mix of rage and sorrow - when his mother started minimizing the loss of his wife. I've only seen one other actor capable of evoking so much emotion without dialogue; that was Al Pacino in the Godfather when Diane Keaton(Kay) revealed to Michael that she hadn't miscarried but had an abortion. He is definitely going to be big soon.

Yep, I agree. That's why I don't understand when some people say Michael can't act. I think they're idiots. I swear, he's so underrated that it's sad.
