Why isn't she nabbing more prominent roles now?

Gone Girl was not one of the highest grossing movies of 2014. And I don't know about you, but she's just been recently cast in a movie and has more lined up her way. I say she's doing fine.

Shes got 7 upcoming films according to her indb filmography. Doesnt really get much better than that :/ Think she'll be just fine lol.

She is getting work, but unfortunately I think being pregnant when she had her big break out probably slowed down all the opportunities to audition and take meetings with prominent filmmakers.

Yes it was - http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/chart/?yr=2014 -- it's in the top 20 which is filled with franchise films and massive productions. It was made on a budget of 60 mil and went on to earn 350+ mil worldwide - that's HUGE.

My question wasn't regarding her lining up more work - it was about the quality of the work hence the word "prominent." I don't really see her recent roles as anything fancy.

She's not a household name yet. People are still getting to know her and appreciate her. It will lead maybe to more prominent roles and top billings. It doesn't matter that she's been in the business for quite a while, the fact is for everyone she's still 'new'. But it's up to her and her agent to take an advantage of her recent success to determine whether she is the real deal or a one trick pony gone girl ;)

I think it would be great for her if she play in a marvel movie. She will definitely get more attention in the mainstream audience, hence she will be more famous and nail more big cast. I think she can play the miss marvel.

I love when people put words into other people's mouths. I merely stated the obvious: she was pregnant, hence making it harder to take meetings and participate in auditions. I never implied she didn't love her family or cherish them first and foremost.
