I hate her! (This is positive)

I hate her so much! Whenever I see her, I see Amazing Amy and I feel a little barf in my mouth. I hate Amy, she disturbed the hell out of me. This just shows how good of an actress Rosamund is.. she disturbs me, I just see her for the character she portrayed so well. The horrors

She should have won the oscar. She should have won the oscar! SHE SHOULD HAVE WON THE OSCAAAR!!!!!!!

reply

Nonsense. She was deserving enough but no more so than Moore who has been delivering great performances for a long time and was exceptional in her role.

Honestly, one good performance in a top-rated film and you think she earned the Oscar. She'd be better of if she stuck around for awhile and then delivered a knock-out punch. Otherwise she'll just look like a one-trick pony.

As far as I know, an oscar is given due to an actor performance in a movie. So no matter how bad his/her acting experience is, if (s)he can deliver an amazing acting in a particular movie, then (s)he deserves to be nominated for an oscar.

Unfortunately, the decision-making factor in these things aren't that unbiased, a lot of the time. Julianne Moore is an exceptional actress and was really great in Still Alice. But, most people regard it as a sentimental/apology win. It's a travesty that she didn't win for either Boogie Nights or Far From Heaven, losing to the unremarkable performances by Basinger and Kidman. Especially Basinger. What was that win about?

Rosamund was phenomenal in Gone Girl and in a different year, she would've been much more of a contender to win. She won a lot of critical awards, which is usually a sign of someone who could've taken home the Oscar. But, Julianne's campaign blotted her out. And as far as I know, her acting experience hasn't been "bad." Sure, she might not be everyone in the world's cup of tea. But, most of the critics I've read have said that she has always been wonderful in her supporting roles and that her being the lead was long overdue.

Awards aren't given as a result of a compiled list of performances in multiple films. Actors are judged based upon their role and performance of a character in a single film. Her performance in GONE GIRL was extraordinary!

Wow I just realized about that. Guess there's no such a thing as 100% professionalism. There will always be personal like and dislike.
