Why does she always use an American accent?

What's wrong with speaking in her native English accent?

You're ridiculously ignorant.

Well, that's not her choice to make, I guess? If the roll of james bond went to an american guy (unlikely, but for the sake of argument), would you want him to speak with an american accent? The question is, why would anyone cast her as an american character. In my eyes she isn't a convincing american, just like Joseph Fiennes playing an american in flash-forward didn't work at all, but he was good in Shakespear in Love. From shat I've seen, she has only got about 1.5 expressions. The way to wild wideeyed shocked face she uses for anger, sadness, confusion, frustration, embarrasment and so on, except for happiness or nothing. It's Dr. No-Face Keanu, but he sort of knows when to what, and it's not as overplayed. Rosamund haven't impressed me in anything as of yet and especially not playing an american, but I hope she will redeem herself in the role she apparently won an oscar for. Haven't seen it yet, mostly because I fear that she will meet my quite low expectations of her performance, but the academy approves so i guess it's worth a peek.
