She is only on screen for around a minute in The Road, but she makes a tremendous and lasting impression, in a film full of great acting talent.
I always look out those little moments in films that touch you. In The Road, there is the beautiful moment where the Motherly Woman leans in to talk to Boy. Heartbreakingly wonderful.

I wonder if she had more screed time that ended up of the cutting room floor!?

The character is in the book for a similar amount of time, so it's unlikely that there was more filmed. Doesn't matter, perfect as is.
