Amen. I take it you meant your statement as a judgement on the #Metoo "movement". Due process is the Achilles' heal of the #MeToo "movement". Geoffrey Rush successfully sued the tabloid dishrag that originally published the untrue "allegations" against him. I don't care for Chris Noth as an actor and found him perfectly forgettable on Sex and the City, but I sincerely hope these allegations are untrue and that he has savvy attornies ready to defend him against the shrill vengeful harpies of the #MeToo "movement".

This is so disappointing.

reply

What's disappointing? I don't see any allegations being corroborated.

reply

Nothing has been proven yet, but just that there are the allegations in the first place is what is disappointing. I know your opinions on women who make allegations, so I'm not going to engage in a conversation with you about this.

reply

That's because you are afraid I will prove that the #MeToo "movement" is the emperor (empress?) that wears no clothes.

reply

Ummm. No. The #MeToo movement is a hell of a lot bigger than Hollywood. It started with normal everyday women, and if it doesn't disturb you as to how many women, and men, out there have stories, then you are part of the problem.

You don't understand why victims don't come forward? Really? Go volunteer at a crisis centre. Go talk to victims who didn't report and ask them why? Talk to victims who have reported and ask them what happened when they did report. Talk to victims who have taken their cases to court, and ask what happened. Then come back and tell me that the emperor isn't wearing clothes.

Two ANONYMOUS bimbos (for all we know, they could be inventions of The Hollywood Reporter)suddenly remembered they were "assaulted" when they saw Chris Noth was in a new series. It is worthwhile to point out both women are alleging their respective events occurred 17 and 6 years ago. Does it really take LA women that many years to realize they've been "raped"?

reply

It seems a bit odd that, after intervals of many years, both accusers approached the Hollywood Reporter, of all publications, independently but only months apart. On the other hand, their stories are similar in certain respects. If this behavior is a pattern with him, there may well be other victims who will come forward now.

If either or both of these allegations are true - and that may be difficult to establish to a legal standard - it’s shocking and sad. If they are not true, it is also sad because he will forevermore live under a cloud to some degree and may have difficulty finding work.
