His movies are great. I'm glad that aeteurs like him are still capable of making mainstream movies that don't pander to current filmmaking trends and don't try to fit into the same set of rules. Very refreshing. Interstellar and The Dark Knight Rises are masterpieces of their genres.

Well, yes, I do know of directors like Hitchcock. I saw The Birds on TV when I was probably 5 or 6. One of my all-time favorite films. Funny enough, Nolan cites Htchcock as one of his greatest influences. So not sure why you're being angry, angry one.

Batman is a character. Last time I checked, you can make a good movie out of any character. Which Nolan did make.
