I actually heard that they didnt want him back cause the CW wanted to save money. I saw a video of Chad actually saying it.

IMO I don't think the decision was based solely on money. You can tell from Chad's performance that he wasn't passionate about the show anymore. Who could really blame him though? they gave him nothing to work with.

plus there is a interview where Mark confirmed Chad and Hil were offered raises. It was after Chad's video came out, so my guess is that the CW caved but was too late. (OTH already wrapped and Chad moved to LA already)

I actually think it's pretty good right now. Not as good as previous seasons, and I can def see old fans losing interest, but it's still one of the better shows on right now, IMO.

I thought that when he left, there'd sort of be this hole in the show, but there wasn't. His and Peyton's storylines were getting kind of boring anyway.

The CW forced him off the show and Mark is a tool for letting them. It just goes to show Mark care more about money then his Actors.

Thats the most stupidest thing ever, if they want to save money, why axe one of the main stars?!
If that was the reason then what were they thinking...?
Its not really One Tree Hill without Lucas and Peyton.
And i heard that its not been picked up next season so this will be the last, tbh they shud have stoppped it when Lucas and Peyton left.
What a horrible way to kill what once was a very good show!
