He can’t write female characters

This dude doesn’t write women well at all. In general in shows are full of messy over dramatic plots. I’m referring to nip tuck and AHS. N/T was ok but very over the top. AHS is just mess, the show is near unwatchable…

This is a fairly common complaint about many male writers. I’ve also read that males tend to avoid novels or movies with mostly female lead characters and from my own experience this is true. I’ve read Huckleberry Finn, Lord Of The Flies and Watership Down three times each and never thought to pick up a copy of Little Women or Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret.

I don’t think men understand women very well.

Maybe you could understand them a little better if you read some of those books.

There have been many well-written, interesting female characters in AHS. Coven especially was a showcase for female actors and characters. I don’t agree with this complaint.

Have you seen NipTuck? Like he will make these very archetypal female characters and then build them up just to make them look weak and make them break. Look at Liz! She’s such a based and strong character but he kinda make a mockery out of her beliefs and personality. I feel like Liz is the little voice of reason inside Ryan’s head. Maybe a female figure in Ryan’s life was a bit like Liz. The show has very weird and hyperbole plot twists just like AHS.
