Shes done quite a few pilots

Most pilots are not picked up. Networks look at an obscene number of potential new shows every year but can only choose a very limited number to air. It says nothing about the talent of the person who starred in the failed pilot. Talented people, if they're even lucky enough to have the opportunity of starring in a pilot, usually don't have total control of the quality of the show. Usually the network is heavily involved in changing things about the show before the pilot has even been made, and often the result is a mess. And even if the pilot turns out well that's not a guarantee that the show will make it to air. As I say, the network has to whittle down a lot of entries, so even good shows can be rejected.

Yeah but you'd think with that many pilots and she was starring in all of them at least one would of got picked up. And its not like Mandy Moore is a nobody.

How many pilots are we talking about? Two? Three? You act like it's 10.

Two or three is more than what a normal actor gets. And I'm pretty sure its 4 at the moment. Pretty amazing for an actor even more amazing none got picked up.

It's messed up but multiple pilots simply not getting picked up beats multiple series getting canceled like Blair Underwood and Christian Slater seem cursed to do.
