Are you blind? It's obvious why he keeps getting roles! He's stunningly attractive to women. That's why beautiful women are abundant in Hollywood too. But you diminish Momoa's acting too much. He's not as bad as you claim. I have seen much worse and they usually have a parent named Will Smith.

Conan was an awful movie, i only watched arnolds version and it was one of the worst movies i have ever seen ... so never had the desire to watch jasons version ...

Jason is not the best actor in the world and will probably never win any awards for his acting, but he is also not the worst. He is a good actor, but with him it kinda depends in which role you watch him. He has roles where he is not that good (lets say Debug, probably my least fave role of him, but the whole movie was kinda horrible) and roles where he is really good (like 'the red road' or more recent 'frontier').

And to be fair, its not like Jason gets offered Hollywood Leading Roles (if we dont count Aquaman). Everything he does is more or less Tv and Independend movies, and most of them are not even good, unfortunately ...

So dont know where you see the special treatment in Hollywood for Jason, because it is basically non-existent ;)

Really? You don't see it? It's simple supply vs.demand mathematics. He is a very handsome man...women love that. As the Kahl of Kahls he was portrayed as a noble savage tamed by his one true love...that gets the ladies so soppy you could drown a toddler in their panties! As far as his acting...all I know is he learned as much Dothraki as exists and is still to this day fluent in it and is willing to preform it at fan request. That leads me to my final point...this guy is beloved by fans! His appreciation for his fortune is evident ever time he does a convention! Good looks, a juicy role he was
Adored for and approachability all have created a persona that the public demands...it is the job of studios and film makers to supply that which the public demands...it's the American way!

Things don't make sense in the world anymore, there's no such thing as an actor's career being dead nowadays, it seems that once someone gets fame, no matter how or in what level, we will hear about them and see them until the end of all time. We are still hearing about Paris Hilton. Momoa is never going to go away.

ok. which good role that was written properly did he get, that he did not live up to? aquaman was badly written, same goes for conan.

Just a thumbs up that it's 3 years since OP, and it's still mind boggling. Mind boggling phenomenon indeed.
