So my experience with Mewes this past weekend

Met the guy this past weekend on my birthday. Wasnt a dick or anything, but I wouldnt say he was a super nice guy. Still a fan. He autographed "Snootchie Bootchies" to me. My buddy and I offered to smoke up with him and he kinda freaked out. He was there with his brother in law I believe and he was all "NO man he doesnt smoke" talking about his brother in law. I imagine people always ask him to smoke out with them so he has to be careful.

The next day he had a Q and A and he was freakin hilarious, he was awesome at that.

I heard on one of the SModcasts that he'll leave parties if someone starts smoking weed since he's afraid he'll start drinking and doing drugs again. It's gotta be tough with everyone wanting to smoke with him.

reply

well as I stated, I met him the other day and hung out and i am not entirely convinced he is off of drugs. I am a struggling addict of opiates myself and I can recognize ALL the signs

keep in mind I am not insulting him or anything it is a total nightmare to struggle with this crap and he has tons of reasons to keep it together, but man I recognize peoples behavior when it comes to addiction, the way the talk, walk, sweat, the way the act..its obvious.

I definitely recommend getting Kevin's book "My Boring Ass Life" then. Believe me, Mewes is clean.

I think the sad thing about Mewes is that he *beep* himself up to the point where he'll never look recovered... he plowed himself with hard drugs for a whole decade. There are some things your body just can't recover from; and he had to have done himself some serious damage during that time.

reply

that was seriously stupid of you. why would you ask someone who's had serious issues with drugs to smoke a joint with you.

surely this is even more ridiculous behavior as you've had the same problem.

reply

remakes not trying to diss on you or anything but why cant you just STOP.

i, myself never touch it....its not hard.

trick is to replace that addiction with another.

reply

you never touched it, so you can't say its not hard. Its like giving up sex/ masturbation after years of having sex - its easy for a virgin to say its not hard to stop.

reply

Remakes aren't the only things for losers.

(Drugs too.)

Why would he offer a guy struggling with addiction a smoke? Because the guy played a stoner for a decade.
