Was He Involved In The Gervais Simpsons Ep?

Please oh please oh please! Can someone confirm he wasn't part of the Simpsons ep? I've always loved Gervais but lately he has been doing some dodgy (read crap) stuff!!

At least Steve stays grounded even though Office and Extras are very much part his creation, anyway i'm digressing all I want to know is if Steve was involved in one of the worst Simpsons episodes in recent history?

In the articles about that show that I've read, Steve's name wasn't mentioned anywhere ever, so I would assume that, no, he had nothing to do with the show - it was Ricky all the way.

I didn't think the show was that awful either - not great, but not awful. Like most Simpsons shows lately, it was just mediocre.

I think the best part was the credits...I dont mean that in a mean way...they were just really funny :)

I still think the simpson's co-writers had a big part in the mediocrity of the episode.

Cut Gervais some slack.
It's hard to live up to
The Office. Besides, The Simpsons
has been sucking for a while now.
But it's such an institution now
that I don't see it going anywhere
anytime soon. Just like SNL.

Hey. SNL is still doing just fine.

I've been a fan of the Simpsons much longer than a fan of Gervais, and I thought it was a great episode. I wouldn't just say that because of fan-boy-ism, or whatever you want to call it. I really thought he did a good job of making it character-based instead of rapid-fire nonsense gags, which is a pit the show has been sliding into for years. The part where the British wife has Homer read aloud everything he saw on TV is hysterical "...and when I woke up Letterman was interviewing Alias."
