Lost a lot of respect for him after his Game of Thrones malarkey:

So, as some may know, Ian McShane is due on Game of Thrones Season 6 soon. However, he dropped major spoilers about the 6th Season, citing afterwards that people need to "Get a *beep* life, its only t*ts and dragons."
Seems that the internet hasn't taken kindly to this and understandably so. A major TV series being spoiled in its 6th Season which promises to be one of the most interesting and unique yet.
What do you think? Justifiable or no? Personally, I've lost respect for him.

The whole, "get a life, it's only tits and dragons" is very insulting to what the show is. It's only got some of the highest viewings and largest fan base in television history. I thought the first spoiler was a slip up, him not being used to the show's fans trying to pick apart every clue we get about upcoming plots and such, but with this second one in which he so casually spoils shît and then insults the audience for being mad about it, yea he's acting like an unappreciative dîck. Wish he woulda made these kinda comments earlier so they coulda recast him from the show, since he clearly has little respect for the show, the show's direction, or its fans. I agree, he acted like an ásshole for no reason

I think the whole thing is pretty hilarious. I don't think that the spoiler he accidentally dropped was that bad. But I can see why some people might get upset. It's funny how the internet goes crazy over every little thing like this.

When I read that "Get a *beep* life, its only t*ts and dragons" comment it made me laugh, I can just hear him say that. No big deal, he's a fantastic actor who propably had a bad moment or whatever.

I think the whole thing is pretty hilarious. Me too. lol He's not far wrong about GOT - I do love watching it although I'm not sure why. It relies heavily on shock and nudity to keep its audience interested.

If anything I've gained respect for him this whole petty Internet hate machine has gotten ridiculously out of hand. It was a simple slip up.

Exactly!

I find him so disrespectful to veiwers and GOT cast and crew. I personally dont care much about the spoilers he dropped, but his attitude is terrible, saying people need to get a life. If everyone "get a f life" you will be out of a job! If not for the people who care about the stories and characters in shows and movies, you won't be getting paid for pretending to be someone for a living.

And saying GOT is only tits and dragons? I'm sure the directors loved hearing their hard works getting trashed.

I think it's disrespectful for an actor to spoil a major plotline, but not as much to the fans as it is to the writers and their own reputation.

If I were a director/producer/writer who has worked hard to keep the fans guessing, and had all the actors on board keeping the plot quiet I'd be livid if one actor spoiled it so publically. I certainly wouldn't want to reuse the actor and I would never want to hire one with that reputation no matter how good he is. Kudos to Kit for going along with it, and all the others. Your job isn't just acting, it's telling a story, not blurting out the ending ahead of time.

To tell the fans "get a life", he's insulting his audience. To say it's only "tits and dragons" is insulting the writing. Talk about biting the hand that feeds.

I am sure Sir Ian McShane will be absolutely heartbroken in your loss of respect. GOT is a television show for gods sake. He is an absolute legend at the end of the day. Deadwood is 10 x better than GOT. Get a grip off life or you will be easy meat for the white walkers.
