Such delicious irony that he played a barbarian in this movie and a roman soldier in Rome.

I got a chuckle out of it.

Agreed, but Rome was streets ahead of the last legion. Much better production all the way round.

Well,to be fair..the roman army at this point were nothing but barbarians..litteraly..Odeacer(barbarian chief) was a military advisor for the emperor of sorts in fact.
