I've noticed that the parts of an episode where you end a comic beat by zooming in on a character's expression don't work as well as a tight funny line.
Try not to use that device too often, although Charlie's expression at the end of 'Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom' was used to devastating effect without dialogue.
It's the exaggerated expressions that don't work.

PS I used to watch your show while eating dinner, but I had to give that up after choking on my food a couple of times from laughing.
