Oh that's easy:

1. A Game of Thrones - 9/10
2. A Clash of Kings - 8/10
3. A Storm of Swords - 7/10
4. A Feast for Crows - 4/10
5. A Dance with Dragons - 2/10

What’s wrong with book #5? That’s the only one I haven’t read yet but I don’t want to waste my time if it’s a subjective 2/10!

Whoever wrote the first three books AGOT ACOK ASOS was a very good writer. Whoever wrote ADWD was a total hack. And nothing of any importance happens, which is to say that there is no plot development. So it is a desperately awful book to read. At least with AFFC where again nothing happens the book is well written.

I have given up on the books and at least had the TV show as some consolation but then they farted in everyone's faces with that God awful season eight so now the whole thing is a complete bust !

ADWD was supposed to be half of a book, so only half a book plot develops.

I am not defending anything; I am just stating a fact.

In my opinion, all of the GoT books have a lot of filler, and the final books take forever to get anywhere.
