I have NEVER understood why no one has made mention of her annoying speech impediment. It is VERY clear in Crossroads. Her s's are very mushy sounding and she just does not have a strong, clear, powerful actor's voice. Does this bother anyone else?

i see where your coming from... but i think her lisp is part of the appeal of her. thats what makes her good for alot of these parts. the list she has in real life brings something to the charescters she plays

why does everyone need to be perfect? we could turn round to you and say we don't like the way you speak, would you like it? of course you wouldn't.
that's why films are not realistic at all. there's never any one fat, never any one disabled, deaf, blind, etc, unless it is a film that concentrates on that! a good example is shallow hal.
which is also a good film for my point - no one is perfect in this world.
hollywood just tends to ignore that fact, for money making purposes of course. they've got a lot to answer to.

ofcourse movies need to be perfect, nobody wants to see fat/disabled/deaf of blind people. theyre catering to the audience and what they want, rather than the whinging minority who complain about other minorities.
and why the hell would you have deaf, disabled or blind people in movies that DOESNT concentrate on those aspects...
i can see it now, THE TERMINATOR...starring stephen hawking.
