All of a sudden I love him

Like most north-of-Mexicans I came to know Diego Luna from Y tu mama tambien, but like most people it was Gael Garcia Bernal I fell in love with. I still love Bernal -- he makes amazing choices in films to participate in -- but something happened recently where it was Diego Luna that I can't get enough of. It's something about his soft demeanor, his grace. What I used to view as a ratty mustache now seems charming. I like how he's given himself over to smaller roles, and how both he and Bernal have remained loyal to Mexican cinema. In both Mister Lonely and Milk he showed a rare kind of vulnerability and sweetness -- the only actor similar would be early Johnny Depp or Forest Whitaker. I just wanna scoop him up.
