Lindsay had a very short "use by" date. She peaked and crashed early, whereas many women get more beautiful in their 30s and 40s. I don't know if her lifestyle had anything to do with it or if it is just bad genetics.

Good examples. I was going to answer his question but decided against it. I realize that some men will *always* find a 20 something woman more beautiful than an older woman. I don't see it that way but I do get why some men do.

I of course am aware that she's had drug and alcohol issues, but I don't know when or how bad, and there are actually actresses that have had alcohol and drug issues that don't show much or any outward signs. How many times are we surprised to learn a celeb suddenly went into rehab?
Take Whitney Houston, Dana Plato, and Anna Nicole Smith for instance. I don't think any showed any significant signs of drug use until right about the end.
Lindsay wasn't particularly good looking as a pre-teen, became a smoke show about the time of Mean Girls, then quickly became worn-out looking and old, which is what I meant a by a short window.
So my speculation was whether it was just drugs/booze, genetics, or a combination of both.
I thought she was a very cute kid in Parent Trap. I have never heard the term "smoke show" to replace "smoking hot", but I like it a lot and am going to BORROW it !!
She was indeed cute in Parent Trap, but she didn't look like a beautiful woman ready to blossom, like for Brooke Shields did for instance in Blue Lagoon although Shields was a bit older, but still very young.
I wish I could claim "smoke show" but I can't..
I first heard of her when she was in the remake of the parent trap and I thought she was such a cool vibrant kid watching one of her interviews.

I didn't find the skit funny, and thought that the hyper sexualization of a high school girl was disturbing. I will admit that she was very pretty back then. It's a shame she ruined her looks, and her career due to drug abuse, and partying. I initially thought that she had the potential to have a career akin to someone like Goldie Hawn.

what i remember about her during that time period is every time i saw her her boobs were bouncing around nice and jiggly, which i found wonderful. i really craved to wrap my lips around them but never hit that goal.
shareI remember seeing her on Letterman after they had "filled out", and she was quite proud of them, even saying that she was "happy the way they turned out". So many women spend so much money for a chest like that!
