RL is not the worst thing to come out of radio or TV (I think Morton Downey, Jr.) but he has caused more damage to political discourse than any other person. He paved the way for the likes of Michael Savage and other extreme Rightwingers and in a strange way, helped create Alex Jones, who seems to be doing an exaggerated version of his act, but for a different audience (crackpots).
